What is the best age to have my childs impressions taken?
We can take impressions at any age but you really want to capture just how little they once were. As we all know they grow so quickly so the earlier the better.
We have taken impressions of baby's literally hours old as well as a 99 year old!
I never had my sons impressions taken and I am worried now that he has turned one that he is too old?
No not at all, we are not limited by age when taking impressions. Whilst he has obviously grown in the last twelve months, when you look back at the impressions in ten or twenty years time you will be glad that you invested in an Impressionable Kids keepsake.
I have six children and would love to have each of their hands in the one frame with a photo, is this possible?
What is the oldest age you can have your child's feet impressions taken?
We do not recommend taking feet impressions once the child has reached the age of approximately two years old. Having said that please discuss your request with your local franchisee as each child does grow at different rates.
If your child is too old to have their two hand and two feet impressions taken there are some other lovely options available such as a one hand and one foot or just their two hands framed together. This way you are still able to capture those special memories of your little one.
How do you take the impression?
What are the casts made of ?
Is it safe?
Yes, the casting process we use is completely non-toxic to baby's skin and is non-allergenic. We have never had any adverse reactions.
Who supplies the photo?
We are great framers but not so great photographers so we need you to supply the photo. If you don't want to take a photo yourself we are more then happy to refer you on to one of the professional photographers we can recommend. We prefer either a 6"x 4" or a 5"x 7" size photo, however if you have a different size photo then please talk to us about resizing your frame to suit.
When can I expect the finished frame?
Do you have gift vouchers?
Do you sell a kit so I can do it myself ?
No, over the years we have received many calls from distressed customers who have tried using a DIY kit unsuccessfully.
Impressionable Kids do not sell or recommend "do it yourself" kits as the processes involved in taking an impression takes days of training. The chances of you obtaining a successful impression on your first, second or even third attempt is extremely slim.
The quality of the materials in kits is unknown; therefore, even if you manage to get a good impression you do not know if it will stand the test of time or turn to dust.
A comparison between our prices & the cost of a kit are minimal and the kit usually does not include framing or an engraved plaque.
