I have four children and would love to have each of their hands in the one frame with a photo, is this possible?

Absolutely, Impressionable Kids custom make all of our frames so we can produce a frame for you to suit your individual circumstances, whatever layout you require and colours, your local representative will work with you to produce an amazing piece of artwork which you will admire for years to come.

I never had my sons impressions taken and I am worried now that he has turned one that he is too old?

We are not limited by age when taking impressions, whilst he has obviously grown in the last twelve months, when you look back at the impressions in ten or twenty years time you will be glad that you chose to have that special keepsake displayed proudly on the wall.

We do recommend not taking the feet moulds after the age of two approximately but it is really dependent on the size of the child as they maybe a small size child, speak with you local franchisee who is trained in providing advice such as this, possibly we could take the impression of the feet and consult you prior to framing.

How do you take the impression?

We take a latex mould of your babies hands and feet by placing a playdough type consistancy mixture around their little hand and foot which takes approximately 30 seconds to set. Once this has set we gently remove the mould.

What are the casts made of ?

We pour a high quality sculpturing stone mix into the moulds which we have taken of your babies hands and feet. We do not use plaster as this is far too soft and will not last.

Is it safe?

Yes, the casting process we use is completely non-toxic to babies skin and is non-allergenic. We have never had any adverse reactions.

Who supplies the photo?

We are great framers but not so great photographers so we need you to supply the photo. If you don't want to take a photo yourself we are more then happy to refer you to one of the professional photographers we recomend. We prefer either a 6"x 4" or a 5"x 7" size photo, if however you have a different size then please talk to us about resizing your frame to suit. 

When can I expect the finished frame?

We say that we will have your frame finished within four to six weeks. If you need your frame sooner for special circumstances then please talk to us and we will endeavor to meet your needs. Please note that if we are waiting on a photo this will delay your completion date.

Do you have gift vouchers?

Yes we do. Our gift vouchers are profesionally printed and can be redemed at any of our locations across Australia.

Do you sell a kit so I can do it myself ?

No, Impressionable Kids do not sell or recommend "do it yourself" kits as the processes involved in taking an impression takes hours of training.   The chances of you obtaining a successful impression on your first or second or even third attempt is extremely slim. 

The quality of the materials in kits is unknown; therefore, even if you manage to get a good impression you do not know if it will stand the test of time or turn to dust. 

A comparison between our prices & the cost of a kit are minimal and the kit does not include framing or engraved plaque.

Over the years we have had many calls from distressed customers who have tried using a kit unsucessfully.
